The Academic Stuff:
I am currently an Associate
Professor in the Department
of Criminal Justice at Radford
University in Virginia. I have previously taught part-time at
Jefferson College,
St. Charles County Community College,
and the University of Missouri - St. Louis,
all in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area, as well as
Guilford College in Greensboro, NC.
I earned a Bachelor of
Science in criminal justice from Southeast
Missouri State University. I then attended the
University of Missouri - St. Louis to
complete a Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in political science.

The Personal Stuff:
I was born and raised in
Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
about two hours south of St.
Louis (home of the Gateway
Arch and the
St.
Louis Cardinals). When I was three years old, I was bitten by
a lion (no
kidding). Then, in college, I won a free trip to
New York
City to be in David
Letterman's audience when he did a special St. Louis-themed show.
Other than that, my life has been fairly uneventful...
